Target Labor FAQ's

What is Target Labor?

  • Target Labor can help you control labor costs by providing warnings and notifications when schedules exceed the allowed dollars or allowed hours that have been given to a location.

 

Where do I set up Target Labor?

  • There are a few separate places to set this information up.

Values:

  • This is the allowed dollars/hours that a Human Resources Manager or higher can configure. This is viewable by a Business Unit Administrator.
  • Accessed by:
    • Click WorkSpaces.
    • Under your organization's name, click Administrator.
    • The Administrator WorkSpace or HOME tab will appear. Click the Schedule tab.
    • Click Target Labor next to the unit.

Thresholds: 

  • This is what will cause the flag on the values input configured by Business Admin or higher.
  • Accessed by:
    • Settings Select your organization. → SCHEDULE/Branding.

 What do the + and - entries mean?

  • These trigger the warning. Using the screenshot above, if the scheduled hours are above 10 hours more or 10 hours less than the configured target labor values, it will display a warning.

 

What is forecasting?

  • Forecasting is the projected sales which can be used to determine the target labor values.
  • Accessed by: 
    • Click WorkSpaces.
    • Under your organization's name, click Administrator.
    • The Administrator WorkSpace or HOME tab will appear. Click the Schedule tab.
    • Click Forecasting next to the unit.
  • Must be a Human Resources Manager or higher to access Forecasting.
