This feature applies to both LS Screening and Sterling Background Checks.
Legislation in places like New York City prohibits employers from mentioning background checks or asking for background check consent during the job application process. In order to accommodate this scenario, administrators can configure the Background Check section within the job application to meet the needs of the organization and its locations.
To configure Background Check consent on the job application:
- Go to Application Questions.
- Click the drop-down next to Background Check.
- The default is set to Everyone. Keep Everyone for all applicants, including all locations.
- Select Custom if you want to specify locations.
